NEOARCTIC is a poetic, visually striking and unsettling music performance about the Anthropocene — a new geological epoch defined by the unprecedented impact of human activity on the Earth’s ecosystems.
Through twelve performative songs, Hotel Pro Forma explores the ruins and resurgence of modern industrial civilisation: extinction and transformation, new life forms and new landscapes. Rhythmic music meets experimental electronics, while words are sung, whispered, shouted and spoken, creating constantly shifting soundscapes.
On stage, twelve exceptional singers inhabit a landscape of white fabric, light, colour, film and projections. Costumes and props become part of the composition, while light and shadow continually transform the space. The result is an immersive visual and sonic journey through a planet in profound transformation.
