THE TIGER LILLIES IN A MACBETH SONG

MUSIC PERFORMANCE

Three witches sing to Macbeth, a power too great for a human. The Tiger Lillies and La Perla 29 travel to the core of this story in a show-concert that merges the London trio’s live music with the Catalan company’s aesthetic. Guided by accordions, pianos, unreleased songs, exciting ballads and three great actors, this unique company creates a new way of telling this impacting story, that speaks about power and war, guilt, blood-stained hands, death, spells, night, fog and the indelible memory of crimes committed by unmeasured ambition.

Poor Macbeth, naive, who killed the king to wear his crown.

Three witches make him a promise of power, and he willingly enters the fatal labyrinth of ambition.

Lady Macbeth’s serpentine tongue and the throne’s paranoia push him to commit the most atrocious crimes, and the turning wheels of war and fear spin out of control, unable to be stopped. Ah, poor tyrant when he gazes into his guilty conscience every evening of the longest night. What a puerile man, the despot, who kills and kills while he’s incapable of love. What ray of dawn can scatter these bloody clouds? Where has liberty gone? The three Tiger Lillies sing to Macbeth, a power too great for a human.

Touring internationally from May 2025.
